Led by trained guides and an African Parks armed ranger, the trail begins at Mvuu Camp with a night in a bush fly camp. The experience offers close encounters with hippos, crocodiles, buffalo, and over 400 bird species. Runs seasonally June–November; minimum age 16.

Due to the presence of elephants and rhinos, a park scout is required. Equipment and guides can be arranged at the park's southern gate or through the Liwonde National Park headquarters.
