Travel here requires preparation. Bus rides from Manila can take 9-10 hours, often overnight, though private vans offer more flexibility. The infrastructure is rustic—expect simple guesthouses rather than luxury hotels. However, the opportunity to disconnect from digital life and reconnect with nature and heritage makes the long journey worthwhile. The region teaches resilience and appreciation for indigenous engineering and history.
